Snow is falling over much of the state this Tuesday morning and a current look at Iowa DOT/State Patrol road conditions indicates all the roads in the state are snow or ice covered. The heaviest snowfall amounts will fall over southeastern Iowa today with a gradual end to the snow progressing from west to east. Winds will be increasing dramatically today and likely leading to blowing snow with poor visibility. It is a snow day today for many in the state, which is an enjoyable novelty when it is the first of the season.
