An Inch over 14 Days
Posted: 19 Apr 2023 05:30 AM
The featured chart estimates the areal coverage of Iowa receiving at least an inch of precipitation over a
trailing fourteen day window. The big precipitation events that frequented the state over the winter
season have become a bit more fickle to start off this spring season. This is the time of the year when
such events should become more common and help to further recharge soil moisture levels now that
the frost is out of the ground. There are at least rainfall chances in the forecast, but it appears that
there will be winners and losers much like what happened over most of the 2022 growing season.
