Preliminary and unofficial estimates by the IEM place September in the top 10 warmest for a good portion of the Midwest as shown by the featured map of climate district ranks. Some locations within the climate districts had their warmest September on record! The warm September weather certainly helped to bring the agricultural crops to maturity and now harvest is fully underway.
