Finally, it looks like Iowa is going to get its first winter storm of the season. Shown is a Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) from the NWS Hydrometeorological Prediction Center. The values are actually liquid equivalent, so a simple 10x snow conversion would indicate amounts of 2 inches in Des Moines to 5+ in SW Iowa.
