The subject of today's daily feature is Tampa, Florida, whose official climate measurement reported 100°F for the first time on record since at least 1890. The featured chart presents the monthly record high temperatures for the state with the side cartoon showing the days of the given month where the record lies. It is interesting to see the rather small spread between the warmest monthly high temperatures. Of course, this is thanks to the moderating effect of all the gulf water nearby.
