Delaware County is shown in the middle of the image with rainfall estimates over 3 inches for a good portion of the county. Locations within that area reported in excess of 5 inches thanks to very efficient rain producers training over the same area. The result is October flooding in cities such as Manchester. A 5 inch daily rainfall event is extremely rare for October, with the last known event reported on 11 October 1973.
