...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...A wintry mix of light freezing rain, sleet and snow is

  expected to develop along the immediate coast late this evening

  before turning to light snow before ending late tonight. Light

  accumulations of freezing rain of less than a tenth of an inch

  are expected. Snow accumulations are generally expected to be

  less than one half inch.



* WHERE...In Alabama, Mobile Coastal and Baldwin Coastal

  Counties. In Florida, Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and

  Okaloosa Coastal Counties.



* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Wednesday.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will fall well below

  freezing Tuesday night, so any lingering ice or light snow

  accumulations on area roadways will cause slick travel

  conditions even after precipitation ends.

...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO

11 AM CST WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...Precipitation initially in the form of a wintry mix of

  light freezing rain, sleet, and snow will gradually turn into

  light snow across the region late this afternoon into tonight.

  Light accumulations of freezing rain of less than a tenth of an

  inch are expected. Snow accumulations are generally expected to

  be between one half and one inch, though isolated totals over

  one inch are possible. Elevated northerly winds will bring

  dangerous wind chills in the single digits late Tuesday night

  into Wednesday morning.



* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Alabama,

  northwest Florida and southeast Mississippi.



* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 AM CST

  Wednesday. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from midnight tonight

  to 11 AM CST Wednesday.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at

  times. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little

  as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of freezing rain,

sleet and snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be

prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use

caution while driving.



A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will

combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can

occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and

gloves.
