IEM Climodat Reports http://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/climodat README for monthly 'Kitchen Sink' reports Data Source: - Daily observations from the National Weather Service Cooperative Observer (COOP) network in Iowa dating back to 1951. Data File(s): - One per year with the nomenclature of _monthly.csv Data Format: - Comma delimited. Should directly import into most any spreadsheet or stats package. The latitude and longitude columns should also make this file an easy import into GIS as an event theme. Data Units: - Rainfall is in inches - Temperatures are in Fahrenhit Data Fields: stationID => Identification for a site stationName => Traditional name for the site Latitude => Current latitude of the site Longitude => Current longitude of the site (Now for each month of the year [01 -> 12], there are 10 columns.) ##_MINT -> Average minimum temperature for month ## of year ????
