From: "Mary Jo Kruse" Date: Sat, 7 May 2005 00:00:43 -0500 Subject: Manson Hail Storm East side of Manson, Iowa. The west side of town had no hail cover on the ground but did recieve hail. The east side recieved hail for more than 30 minutes accumulating to about 2 inches of ground cover. The sizes of the stones varied from pea sized to as large as golf balls. There were no immediate reports of broken windows or heavy damage from the hail stones. The hail accumulated in the streets with water to create the "icebergs". Heavy steam was seen coming off the ground as the ice began to melt. Hail began at 10:15 and ended around 10:45. The photos were taken by Adam Ramthun
